Hi there, I recently became a PR in Canada, prior to that i held an open work permit. Working here for the last 3 years.

I am hoping to invite my parents in the summer on a TRV, and they only have significant amounts in Fixed Deposits. My mother does not work, and my father works. However, he does not have a significant income, and cannot show income tax returns, nor proof of employment. They both do have bank accounts, in which they have very small amounts, not enough to show as support for expenses in Canada.

I am wondering what our best options are going forward:
1. Show large amounts in FD + house (father's name) as other asset + very small amounts in my parents' bank accounts
2. Showing that my parents are dependent on my brother, where he has a good amount in his bank + my parents' FDs + house (father's name) as other asset + very small amounts in my parents' bank accounts
3. Showing that I (living in Canada) will be sponsoring my parents, ie. they will be financially dependent on me when they come.

Also another detail, my brother will be applying for PR soon.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

They need to show that they have the liquid funds to support their travels.
