I am going to work as a postdoc researcher in Toronto and need TRV in addition to the work permit based on my nationality (Iranian). Something strange has happened and I really appreciate if you could kindly help. Here is the story:
I received the work permit correspondence letter on Jan 21st and consequently "passport request" JUST for my spouse and daughters. Since it was written in my work permit approval letter that a TRV has been issued for me, I handed in all our passports to the VAC in Istanbul which they themselves told me later they shouldn't have accepted it without a passport request letter.
We collected my spouse's and daughters' passports via an agent after 3 days BUT my passport is still in the embassy after two weeks. After calling the VAC in Istanbul they called the embassy in Ankara and they said I should still wait.
How come my dependents have got their visas in their passports but I as the main applicant should still wait for my TRV despite of the sentence "my TRV has been issued" as mentioned in my work permit approval?
Moreover, my work permit application is closed now and written "the application is approved" while I asked others they say once the visa is adhered in the passport the application status becomes closed.
Neither the Ankara embassy responds my email nor the IRCC web form
