Hi there...I am just worried about the entire process of obtaining a TRV for my spouse. Let me explain my case so that if anyone has any suggestions to make or help to render, I would be more than welcome to get them :)

I am here in Canada as an International Master's student (I'mt an Indian) in University of Saskatchewan since Sep 2013. I do well in academics and I have a scholarship worth $18,000 a year. My husband who is also an Indian is now working in Ghana, Africa. He has a good travel history as he worked in Dubai for 4 years and is in Ghana for almost 8 months now.

He is going to apply for a TRV to Ghana in 2 weeks or so... Here's what I am concerned about- How easy it is to get a TRV from Ghana being an Indian who is working over there? Plus he has been there only for past 8 months! How much is the acceptance rate from Accra, Ghana? I heard get visas from Ghana, Africa is way more easier. I also saw that the usual time taken is 12 days (which is 2 days lesser, than India!)

We're planning to make his visit short- say 3 weeks. He would have enough money for a 3 week stay ($10,000), I will provide my scholarship letters, pay stubs from University, bank statements, ID proofs, marriage certificate, rental agreement (to prove that I will take care of his accommodation for 3 weeks). Will that suffice from my end?

I am also planning to notarize my invitation letters, scholarship letter and he would also provide a letter from his Ghanaian company approving his vacation for 3 weeks (to Canada), hsi employment offer and bank statements.

Should this be ok ...can a short stay in Canada prove his strong ties to Ghana and will he be granted a TRV?!

Please input your thoughts on this. Any help with ideas would be very helpful please...

Thanks in advance!

Hi

All he needs to do is proof that he will come back to Ghana....job letter and his personal bank statement would carry more value than your invitation.

He basically needs to proof to the visa officials that he will go back to Ghana so property, job, travel history, family ties all play a role in that.

I just got a visa from Nairobi and I sent my relatives invite letter with a copy of their residential status and the rest was my work letter and statements.
