Hello,
I would like to thank you in advance for putting this forum together.
My fiance wanted to visit me in Canada (Montreal) for 2 weeks.
He applied for a TRV, but it got refused:
-He is 34
-Has a 5 years U.S. visa that is valid till 2013
-Employed in a well-established company in Beirut, Lebanon
-Owns an apartment
-He mentioned that he is planning to visit Canada in the months of September or October
-Booked return tickets and hotels.
-I am 25, and we have been together for 3 years. (I have been a PR since April 7, 2012)
-He did not mention that he was specifically visiting me, because in fact he has lots of friends in Montreal and was planning to visit them too.
He was not granted a visa.
He is only coming to visit me in Canada. He has convincing social and business ties in Lebanon. Why didn't he get the Visa?
Now I am applying for a U.S. visa to see him there. However, it will not be convenient for us every time to spend on tickets and hotels just to be able to see each other.
We are planning to get married in Lebanon a year or so from now. He won't be able to leave lebanon, but he will want to visit often.
I will be staying in Canada to work, study, and have a family even after marriage.
Please advise.
Thank you for your help.
