Hello all,
Thank you for sharing your valuable and helpful advice and experiences. They helped us in our paperwork greatly. Wanna share our experience. We received our PR status in 2018, stayed for 5months then returned to our home country. My third child was born in 2019. We wanted to come back to Canada ,as a family of 5, before we were out of RO. Below was our struggle and emotional ride :
Step 1:
Apply for TRV for my 3rd daughter in February 2021, parents were still within RO
Step 2:
Apply for mother's prtd as she did not have a PR card, others have valid pr cards until 2023
Step 3:
PRTD expired while waiting for TRV, anxiety seeps in
Step 4:
Received TRV in November, while we were all out of RO, overwhelmed and thankful after all the wait
Step 5:
Reapplied for mother's prtd, with letter of explanation (delays in trv response, covid, best interest of a child etc),
Step 6:
To our immense joy and relief, mother's prtd was approved in January 2022
Step 7:
Plan our trip to Canada, we landed on 4th March 2022
Step 8:
No issue at border, was smooth with the common questions, how long were you out of the country, goods to follow? Etc
Step 9
Asap we applied for pr card for mother ,child benefit and sponsorship for my third daughter, OHIP for the rest of the family, expecting to receive positive response for all the applications in the coming weeks
