hi everybody,plz help me. we applied for my mom trv extension on 13th dec.on 15th jan we got medical request and we got medical appointment on 22nd jan.but today my cic account shows file status is closed.file is approved but i did not get any mail or letter from them. my question is that what is meaning of this,is this happens with anyone.did they extend visa or refuse visa. im so confused.

Congrats your mother extension is approved means they have granted her the extension to staybsweet687 said:

As cic had requested medical exam of your mother so your mother will most likely get a visitor record (the extension confirmation document) with a condition todo medical exam within 30 days. So take your mother for the medical exam on 22 jan.
And that's it your mother process is complete and she is good to stay until the date mentioned on the visitor record.
Your mycic account says "file is approved" so it means your application is approved otherwise it would had state "rejected" or "refused".bsweet687 said:

plz check your spam email folder you might have received an email from cic.
CIC does not request passports for the purpose of granting extensions. cic simply sends a printed document to home address which is called a visitor record. you can look at the links below to see how the visitor record looks like

After approval of the application cic takes about 1-6weeks to send the visitor record at your home address. if you do not receive your visitor record you can call the call center after 6 weeks.
the visitor record will have a condition (observation/remarks) that you must undergo the medical exams. So relax and just take your mother for the medical exam on 22nd jan.
