Hello. I currently have a visitor record that's valid for 5 more months and I'd like to visit the US and come back to Canada. Looking at http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/page-39.html#h-106 (section 190-3-f), it says TRV is not needed if one "held a study permit or a work permit that was issued before they left Canada on such a visit or were authorized to enter and remain in Canada as a temporary resident".
I'd like to ask whether my Visitor Record authorizes me to enter and remain in Canada as I remember the bottom page of my visitor record indicating "This does not authorize re-entry".
Sorry if this has been asked before but 2 said no and 1 said yes here (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/can-i-go-to-the-us-for-a-week-with-a-visitor-record-t278573.0.html)
Here 1 said yes (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/visitor-record-no-reentry-authorized-can-i-go-to-us-and-come-back-t395894.0.html)
So I just want to clarify again.
