Hi Guys,
I am an Indian citizen living in Canada.
I am trying to look for an answer for applying tourist visa for my fiance. I am a permanent resident of Canada(moved recently, having a full time job in Canada). My Fiance works in IT sector( 7+ yrs) . We are planning to get married soon and apply for his spousal sponsorship(takes 12 months for completion of process) but prior to that, we wish to apply for his tourist visa so that he could visit me for couple of days at times while his sponsorship application is in progress(as it will take 12 months).
I have heard of many rejections on Canada Tourist visa and that's the reason why we do not want a
TRV rejection to impact our spousal sponsorship application going foward. So, I am being extra cautious if he will be able to get a TRV for Canada and not get rejected. Could you tell me if he will be able to get the TRV given the below situation-
1. Working full time in IT(7+ years, recently changed company but profile remains the same).
2. Aged 30
2. We are not going to show our relationship anywhere in his TRV application.
3. He has traveled to Thailand(in 2016) and Indonesia(2017)- both of tourism- again, both countries are visa exempt for Indians.
4. He will have around 5000 CAD in his account(from salary- old money)but we can add more but that will be new money.
5. He doesn't have a house in his name but he has a car(ties to India).
6. He has his parents, younger brother living in India(ties to India).
7. He can get a leave approval email from his employer.
8. He earns around 1 lac INR(around 2000 CAD) per month, which can be shown as a reason as to why he would not extend his stay in Canada.
9. He doesn't have any family members staying in Canada.
10. Plans to stay for maximum 1 week at a time in Canada.
Request you to please analyze and let us know if this could lead to a positive outcome for TRV Canada.
Waiting eagerly for your expert advice.

Short answer:
He does not have a strong application for a TRV approval.

My reasons for this:
1. He has recently changed jobs. Probably still in the probation stage = Employment ties are not strong.

2. His salary might not be financially lucrative for him to return to India.

3. His savings are low. Borrowing money from someone else does not work. Visa officers do the math to check if the bank balance matches the ITRs and declared sources of income.

4. He has not travelled to visa-required countries such as the US, UK, Schengen, Australia, etc.

5. The visa officer could question why he wants to spend a significant amount of money to visit Canada ie no strong purpose of visit.

6. Are his parents and sibling dependent on him? If yes, can he prove it with evidence?

7. No concrete assets to return to in India
