Hi everyone, I just wanted to share the good news. I have my TRV approved. I did wrote on my application that I was going to visit my boyfriend. He came all the way from Canada to show his support while I was applying to get the TRV since you never know how things are going to go.

It is definitely easier if you have a PR card in an European country. Which I do. I had all the documents presented and other documents my boyfriend showed as the funds to take care of my visit while in Canada. If you do not have a PR card of an European country you still have chances to get approved your visa!

It is a pretty long day once you get in the Embassy. Preparation is the key and also knowing what your chances are. I did not know if I was going to get it but I also went with a positive outlook on what I was doing and all the documents I was presenting.

We got up early and were at the embassy around 8,45AM. The line was long outside of the building. It took me half hour to get through security, my boyfriend waited for me at a Coffee place across the embassy because he was not allow to get in. I knew that still tried. I left my documents to a VO that reviewed them and got a number and my documents back and went upstairs where I gave my documents to another VO in the reception of documents window. I waited for I don't know how long, because I did not bring my watch and at security you need to leave your cell phone turned off and other gadget you have with you, until my number showed up on a screen to go to pay the fee which I did. I went back to my seat and while time was passing I saw that the vast majority of applicants after they left their documents they were called to a wicket where they were asked questions. It is not a good sign to be called more than once to the wicket once you pay your fee and wait to be call. I also notice that some people after they were called to the wicket and they come back to their seat they were call to the reception and those are the ones that were granted a TRV. I waited to be called to the wicket but I was not, instead I was called directly to the reception where they gave me my passport with the TRV and explained me that I can travel to Canada from the day it was approved, the validity of the visa which was 6 months and a letter giving me more detailed information about it. I was very happy and I just went downstairs to pick up my cell phone and give the good news to my boyfriend. I left the Embassy and it was 1PM. Now, I'm preparing to go on the 15h. I'm very excited and can't wait to make a snow man!

Have all your documents prepared!!!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!

Thank you very much! I'm happy because I also met in person my boyfriend's mom who came to Europe to meet me!

Again, you never know what can you get but you need to be prepared!

Merci beaucoup!
