TRV approved as single, now married?

Asking for a friend:

If a person has an approved TRV while she was single and valid for multiple years, can she still use that now that she's married? Does she have to update her status when asked by the CBSA? How does one go about this? I apologize if this seems to be a basic question one should definitely know about.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. She is planning to enter Canada this June 2017 as a Tourist with her TRV approved when she was still single. She recently got married and she's wondering if her TRV is still good to use. Thanks!
