TRV Applied in VFS Dubai ( Timeline)

I along with my family submitted our TRV applications at VFS Dubai on 24rth November 2016, the applications were received at Canada Visa office Abu Dhabi on 27 Nov 2016 as per the VFS Text updates. Since then we are waiting for any further updates, I called VFS yesterday, they told it could even take upto 2 months, though the processing time at CIC website shows 20 working days for UAE visitors applications. I think the delay is due to the Xmas and New years holidays. hopefully,i am expecting to get some response in a week time.
What's your nationality as per passport, hope you dont mind me asking? That sounds worrying (processing time). Think we've made a wrong move to submit the original passport. I was depending on the 20 days processing time shown on the cic website. Thanks for the reply. Appreciate your update soon as you get your passports. Yea friend May be you are right it can matter , I am UAE resident for the last 15 years & keep traveling many countries. Rarely does it take this much time from any other visa centers irrespective of my Pakistani nationality. I think there were more than 5 public holidays in Abudhabi Center in December including, national day, martyr day, Xmas, Boxing Day, & new year & if you also exclude 2 weekend days as well then effectively it is less than 30 working days. I hope the process will expedite now.. fingers crossed :
