Were you trying to apply for a Visa? It seems like instead you applied to "extend your stay or change your conditions in Canada", which is different than a Visa. a Visa is a document in your passport that allows you to ENTER Canada. "cross the border". Nothing else. A Permit (such as a study permit or work permit) is something different, which allows you to work or stay in Canada. So a Visa is only for entering, permit is permission to work or study. You probably either have a study permit or a work permit. What you want, then, is a Visa, if you're planning to leave the country (and want to be able to re-enter Canada). Is that right?

It seems like you might have submitted this application:

(if you're a student, the same one applies but instead of "worker" it says "student")
