TRV Application - VFS Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Please share your timeline if you applied for TRV in VFS Office Al Khobar. I submitted again my application today, April 16, 2014 after the rejection of my "Online" TRV application last year. Hope to hear from you guys!

this is my timeline so far:

April 3 - submitted TRV application
April 4 - received confirmation from CIC
April 4 - received a message that my application has been updated
April 16 - received a second message that my application has been updated

Note: My current location is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with average processing time of 17 days according to CIC website.

I think there's an issue right now with the online application, try to check other postings too. I did not receive message like that when I applied online last year.

until now no news..... ??? seems they are having backlogs and lots of peeps wanting to enter Canada these days

finally received a message from CIC today..exactly 17 days so their processing time is based on business day not calendar days.

and it's a passport request. I am now contemplating on which method to send them via VAC or courier..

For those who are in Riyadh, what courier did you use?

So, 17 business days... I am still waiting for the result of my application via VFS, Day 8 (business days) Congrats!

I submitted my passport through VFS Global even if I processed through online..I paid 102 SAR..

by the way i want to ask you, in the form IMM5257E, question number 7: Current Country of Residence: Saudi Arabia Status: Worker From: Date of first entry in KSA and To: (expiration date of current Iqama????)

Since this is your 2nd TRV application, did you also declare that you've been refused any kind of visa? - I declared my visa application was denied before and provided the reasons.

I wrote my contract end date coz our contract is renewed yearly so around January 2015.

Yes, I indicated my prior TRV refusal, (date and application number). I did not indicate though that I was refused on my first US visa application coz i felt it was pointless since I got my US 10Y M on the second application and was able to use it last year...
