I would also like to ask experienced members if you think we have a good case. Me and my partner have known each other for 4.5 years, we have an 16 month old daughter who holds dual citizenship Canada/Cambodia. I've lived in Siem Reap for 18 months now and we are just looking to visit my family and introduce my spouse and daughter to everyone. We have done many travels together, although only Singapore/Malaysia would register as a countries the Visa Officer may care about. I'll list all the supporting documents below. We requested May 1st-June 15th travel dates.
-She owns a cafe which has been in operation for a year. We submitted 4 months of sales receipts totally an average of $3000 USD in sales a month, business license and tourism license, I drew up financial documents, cash flow statements and the businesses general worth of $15000. The lease agreement was also submitted, 2 year lease with a $1500 deposit, rent at $500 a month. Cafe is established with incredible reviews and ranking on TripAdvisor, snap shots of these were submitted.
-Car registration, car ownership document, sale receipt value of $3500, plus Tax papers for the year.
-$2300 USD in her ANZ bank account.
-Her family book, along with letters from her brother and her sister, her sister works at her Cafe. She will run the place while we are gone. She stressed what her job means to her and what her sister has done for her.
-We support her sisters son to go to school and submitted a letter from the school stating our support and stamped.
-Endless photos of our travels to many countries, photos with her family all of us together, photos with our daughter, photos with my parents and sister who visited us last year.
-We applied common law and submitted the Stat common law form, stamped by a lawyer.
-The last 18 months of my Visas proving I've been here the whole time, my daughters citizenship and birth certificate, photo copies of both her Canadian and Cambodian passport. Her birth certificate with both our names on it and her canadian citizenship certificate.
-Letter of invitation from my father declaring full support while she visits including showing 2.5 million dollars in assets. His mortgage papers. I also submitted my account information showing $17000 and a cleared out Visa with a $14000 limit, also my Canadian mortgage document.
-We both wrote letters and expressed our intention to return and stressed the fact we wouldn't overstay and jeopardize any future possibility of migrating to Canada permanently. We tried to stress how difficult it would be flying out so many family members who haven't yet met my spouse or child.
-We submitted her previous travel documents which included Stamps and Visas to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and India. We also submitted the visas of mine which we traveled together. She has been to Malaysia and Singapore with me and alone. We even submitted old plane tickets and itinerary.
-Finally we submitted her departure ticket to Canada booked for May 1st and a return ticket booked for June 15th.
We have known each other 4.5 years and have plenty of proof for it. I realize visas for a spouse are difficult to obtain but possibly since we've known each other a long time, have a kid together, I've spent 18 months straight in Cambodia with her, we live together, my Dad, step mom and sister have flown out here to meet her and this is the first attempt at a TRV for her. What do you guys think? I should note we submitted her passport which expires in 8 months, although there is a space for renewal, Cambodians get a stamp for renewal rather than a new passport. My worry is she has too many ties to Canada but of course she does, we are applying to visit MY family.
