Hello,
I have one question.
I work like a truck driver in UK for 14 months.
Anybody know do i have chance to get working visa in Canada?
I know that employer should give me work proposition and I need LMO.
But in view of my experience do i have some chance to get a visa?
I know sth about provincial nomine program. There are program for long haul truck driver. Maybe i eligible for this program?
Anybody have hints for me?

Greetings

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Do you have any formal education related to truck driving. Like college or University?
Most doctors and engineers are driving trucks cause they cannot find jobs in their fields
You can try LMO but then the company has to prove there is no other Canadian for this job but there are already many highly educated truck drivers here already

Do you have work experience related to sociology?
If yes then you can apply through the skilled workers program and then come here as a Permanent Resident and work as a truck driver
If no then you dont qualify for skilled workers program and cannot become a Permanent Resident

1) You cannot apply as a trailer truck driver because immigration to Canada is based on points system and there is no point system for the profession of a truck driver, if you cant show that your education is related to work experience then you will not get enough points to come here as immigrant in the first place

2) No, There is no agency otherwise there would be a shortage of truck drivers in developing countries cause every truck driver would want to drive a truck in Canada

3) No, you have to first qualify as a landed immigrant through the points system and then apply. Most of our truck drivers are very highly educated, some are professors, doctors and engineers because although they qualified under the points system to come here they couldnt get job in their field and so they had to work as truck drivers in order to feed their families.

The best option for you would be is to get an education, preferably a Masters degree atleast, show that you have work experience related to your education. Then you'll qualify to come here as a skilled worker. You are then free to work as a truck driver anywhere in Canada
