Trouble opening bank account on visitors visa

I am having trouble opening a bank account in ontario with my visitors visa, I have tried, Scotia bank and HSBC.
Did anyone have success doing this?
Which bank and what is required.

I think TD can help you with that. In general a visitor is not allowed to open a bank account because.... why would a visitor who is supposed to be for a short period of time need a bank account?

In fact they don't really care about your status, but they need at least one Canadian ID with picture and any other ID.

Banks are flexible (they can accept e.g. your student credential and your passport) but they cannot be flexible if no Canadian ID is shown.
