Trouble extending visitor visa online?

Hi guys, I'm having trouble starting my online application to extend my visitor visa.

I understand I need a personal checklist code, but from the "Extend Your Stay" page, clicking the 'Apply Online' link under number 1 sends me to the standard 'determine your eligibility' questionnaire, at the end of which it simply tells me "you may visit Canada without a visa", with nothing to do from there but to view a page that tells me standard visitor requirements like passport, etc. It does not give me a personal checklist code.

Meanwhile on my MyCIC page, it tells me I have an application still "in progress." Clicking this link sends me back to that same page that just tells me I may visit Canada without a visitor visa.

Am I missing something? I've looked all over for another link but I cant find anything...starting to feel a little crazy

You need the code for sure - you might be picking something wrong in the checklist

Yeah, there's nothing that technically applies to me on the "What are you doing in canada?" drop down list—it's either "work, visit, live, transit (less than 48 hours)."

I feel like thats where the problem is but there's nothing I can do to change that, because there's no "extend your stay" option.

I would call to ask someone but from my experience the agents never know what to do, they just refer me to the "help" page on the website...

for anyone curious, i figured this problem out:

on the eligibility questionnaire, one field asks you your country of citizenship and one asks you your 'country of residence'

i needed to select 'canada' for 'country of residence' for it to send me to the extension dialogues :)

yay now i can apply online hehehe
