Travelling while waiting for Spousal Open Work Permit decision

Hello,

I will be submitting a spousal sponsorship application soon and was wondering if there are factors to consider to maintain implied status.
For context, I am currently awaiting for my PGWP extension(due to passport expiry) and expect to receive sometime in July or August.
We are submitting the sponsorship application by July and travel around mid August, meaning I would hopefully have my renewed PGWP
and also SOWP submitted. Would this potentially be an issue for re-entry, because I am technically in implied status despite the valid work
permit? Also, is it possible to submit a SOWP application at a later date, separate from the Spousal sponsorship application?

Thank you for your help :)

Yes you can send them separately, there is no requirement to send them together. But in that case you will have to wait for AOR on your spousal application before applying for OWP. So the time gap between them will be around 3 months or less depending on how busy IRCC is.

You are posting in the wrong section. This section is for PRs and citizens sponsoring a spouse.

They are not sponsoring their spouse. They aren’t a PR or citizen.

I thought OP is the PA talking about themselves. What I understood is that they are on PGWP and will transition to SWOP while waiting for the inland sponsorship to get approved.
