Travelling US without a valid temporary residence visa

Hi,

I am currently holding a valid work permit in Canada with Chinese Passport but my temporary residence visa is expired a long time ago. I am also holding a valid US visa and planning to visit US in mid May by air, is there anyone that knows if I can re-enter Canada with an expired temporary residence visa?

I know that there is no problem to visit US by road as I have done this many many times.

Can anyone who have done this before help?

You cant use an expired visa, but you may use your work permit to re-enter

If you are currently employed under the work visa, it shouldnt be a problem
