Travelling to US by car while awaiting for eCOPR

I wanted to get some guidance regarding the possibility of travel to the US in a personal car for about 10 days while awaiting for my eCOPR. I have submitted the information and photos for the PR Confirmation Portal (P2 mail) on 30-Dec. Now waiting for IRCC to review the submission and the eCoPR to be issued. As it seems, the eCOPR issuance is currently taking anywhere between a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

During this wait time, I was wanting to travel to the US by car for about 10 days and wanted to get some feedback regarding the same, specifically for the below questions:

- If the eCOPR is issued whilst I am in the US, can that be a problem later on and cause the PR to be invalidated?
- Ideally I should inform IRCC via mail / webform about travelling out. But this will put my eCOPR processing on hold and I am not keen to delay this process by putting it on hold. Since this involves land travel between US and Canada, I understand that the rules are a bit simpler about entry and exit records so will IRCC be informed that I am not in Canada when I enter US or re-enter Canada? Is it safe to travel without raising the webform?
- As per my understanding, since I have a valid WP and TRV so I should be able to use the same to reenter Canada. In case my eCOPR is issued during my travel, I can use the same to reenter Canada since I'll be using the land border. Hope I am correct in this assumption.
- Any other guidance / inputs on this would be welcome especially if someone has gone through this process.

This assumption is incorrect. Once you get your eCOPR, you are PR and cannot re-enter to Canada via your WP or TRV. It also create other confusion when you try to apply for PR card renewal or later on for your citizenship.

Since you already gone thru P2, you could get your eCOPR any time. The safest way is to inform IRCC before you leave and inform them again after your return.
