I recently applied for my citizenship and just waiting to write my test. I found out last night that my brother died in my home land and would love to go home to pay my final respect. Is there a way I can be pardon for travelling for the funeral.

Unfortunately there is no way to get a pardon. If you travel to your home country, you are putting your PR / citizenship at risk due to cessation.

You mentioned you had already travelled on your home passport, three times to the USA,and you were advised not too. The advice is still the same .Except now you’ve applied for citizenship, think the cats possibly out of the bag
What will you tell the officer if that’s brought up at your citizenship interview?
Scylla already advised you previously regarding cessation
