Hi,

I am new permanent resident, completed my landing procedure last month on 26th July. As of now processing time for PR Card is 69 Days.

Because of some family urgency i need to travel back india in coming weeks.

I was wondering is it possible to travel from India to US and then travel from US to Canada via Road ( as landing document is valid to travel from US to canada via land) ?

I hold valid US B1/B2 Visa. If anybody is aware of such a scenario can you please help ?

Regards

I am just wondering if US Custom would create problem by knowing that i would go to canada from US.

I can just travel from India to US mentioning i am visiting a friend.

No, it won't be a problem to say you're travelling to Canada. This is allowed.

The only problem is if they don't understand the way the rules work in Canada and it doesn't make sense to them that you're travelling through the US. But in this case it will only delay you a little bit, for them to give you time to explain. This is less risky than saying you're visiting a friend if this isn't true.
