After I have submitted the PR application and before it is processed, I will be visiting Canada a few times to prepare for the move. No items will be taken that will perm remain apart for some gifts for family. Are there any tips of what paperwork if any I should take for CBSA at the airport? Like proof of job to return to, etc. obviously I will declare the application.
Hey,
if you're visiting Canada, just take with you the return ticket, and if you want to be on the safe side, a proof of job to return to, bt it should not be a problem. If you have already the sponsorship approval you can take it with you as well (otherwise the receipt for the fees paid), but I doubt that you will be asked anything... if you have family and you're moving soon to Canada, but have a PR in process, it seems all very natural to come and visit.
THe return ticket is normally the best thing to have with you.
I was let in to Canada when I came here to wait out the PR, I didn't have a return ticket... I brought the sponsorship approval + proofs of funds ( because no return ticket), and was prepared to show that at the border, but the officer only asked how long I wanted to stay - I said at least 6 months because I'm waiting for my PR to come through... she didn't ask for any proofs, stamped my passport for 6 months, and that was it! so I doubt you'll be asked for many things - but just have them with you in case.
Good luck on your application,
Sweden
