travelling to canada from india..

hey guys.. i will be travelling to canada ( vancouver) from new delhi (india) in end of jan2012.. pls help me with following info-
best airlines to travel with.. ( economy)
better route- atlantic or pacific? keeping in mind the weather conditions in jan n feb..cant afford to be delayed for a long time.. I HAVE A VERY IMP EXAM!!! :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
and also the luggage limit??????? i have soooo many books to carry.... pls wud be of great help.. as i am first time travelling abroad and that too all by myself.. wud rly appreciate any useful tips u have to offer...

Check airline baggage limits (normally 50 lbs times 2, economy)

You need to allow plenty of time, there are no guarantees on the weather.
