Travelling to Canada for oath, urgent passport

Hi,
I am driving from USA to Canada to take virtual oath and have 2 set of questions if experts can help here

Canada entry questions:

1. I'm planning to request for same day certificate pickup. But if they don't allow, I have to come back to USA. Is there any way I can return back to Canada without certificate? My PR card will be gone but I have nexus card. Not sure if I can still use nexus as I will not be PR anymore. Nexus office will also not update my status as citizen without proof
2. If #1 is not possible, I have to somehow get certificate in USA. Can I enter Canada from land border by just using the certificate + nexus + India passport

Passport questions:

1. I'm planning to get passport on urgent basis. I know they need proof of travel. Is it ok to share that I need to travel by car to my home in USA?
2. Should I fill USA address in passport application even when I am applying form Canada?
3. Do they need any address proof to apply for passport? My USA driver license has different address than where I currently live.

1. You'll be admitted to Canada, as you are a citizen, but you might spend a minute at the border while they verify.
2. You can enter Canada as a citizen once your identity is confirmed.

1. Yes, you can write a letter indicating travel by car. It's up to them to accept it (but I don't see why they wouldn't).
2. Yes.
3. No.
