Travelling outside the country after obtaining the open work permit

Hi guys , i just obtained my open work permit after waiting 4 months from sending my spouse sponsorship application with my wife . i got job offer from canadian company but they told me that their will be several visits to the USA , Is it ok to leave canada and come back after getting the open work permit ? . i came to canada on visitor visa and got extension as visitor . also why is it written at the bottom of the open work permit " This doesn't authorize reentry " ?? ... Thanks alot guyss

You should remain in Canada.

If you leave, there is no guarantee you will be allowed back in. If you are not allowed back in, your inland application will be canceled and you'll have to start again from scratch by applying outland.

As you've seen, the open work permit in no way guarantees you will be allowed back into Canada. Neither does the visitor visa.
