Hello Seniors,

I have a very urgent question....seeking your help on this..!!!!
I am landing in 3rd week of August in Toronto. Will be staying there for around 3 weeks and then I have to go to Norway for my job. I know that its not advisable to travel without getting your PR card and the process that I have to go to a Canadian Embassy in Norway as I wont have a PR card to get a travel document from them...
The big question is :

Can I come back to Canada on a Business/Visitor's visa which I have and is valid for next 8 years.

Please help me as i can see that even I try to get my PR card processing done urgently, I might not get it in time before leaving for Norway...!!!

Awaiting your response!!!

Regards
Kunal

Urgent processing is not available for new PR cards. Urgent processing is only available for PR card renewals.

No - you won't be able to travel back to Canada on your business / visitor visa. This visa will be canceled as soon as you become a PR.

Assuming you hold a non-visa exempt passport, you will have to apply for a travel document as soon as you reach Norway. If you are staying there for 3 weeks then you should have plenty of time to receive the travel document before your return to Canada.
