Travelling out of Canada after application submission

Hi All

Planning to apply for citizenship by July end , but have some planned travel outside Canada for a month around October. So, few questions related to that

1. Should I notify IRCC about my planned travel
2. Is my travel going to slow down my application progress
3. Will IRCC communicate through post regarding any updates to my application
4. Will any of the deadlines provided by IRCC for certain process like booking test or fingerprint appointment or need additional information, be less than 30 days ?

And finally is it recommended to postpone any travel plans until my citizenship application is complete ?

1) Always useful. May (not will!) avoid an in-person interview or oath ceremony while you're abroad.
2) Well, if you're called for something and you can't do it, it will, but all the stuff that doesn't involve you (like the background check, or checking your language proof or physical presence) won't be affected. Don't worry about it.
3) Everything is done via e-mail, except maybe fingerprint requests, but you'll be able to see those on the tracker anyway.
4) You usually have a month to provide the fingerprints after your notification, and 3 week to pass the test, which you can pass outside Canada (unsure if you need to notify IRCC or just go ahead and take the test). But invitations to the oath ceremony or an in-person interview can be for a closer date than a month, but usually with enough days to be able to travel back if you don't want to miss them.
