Travelling for work on BOWP

Hi everyone,

Literally impossible to get a definitive answer to this anywhere, I've read/been told 4 or 5 different things so far. Wife and I have submitted our EE application having gotten an invitation to apply. Visas expire in January so we are applying for a BOWP. I am expected to travel for work in January after my IEC visa expires. Am I able to leave the country and come back and continue to work on the BOWP?

I have read things stating I can go abroad but need a separate travel visa to re-enter, and that I can work; I have also read that I can leave and return but cannot work. And everything in between.

Can anyone confirm this one way or another?

Thank you very much.

You definitely need a separate visa to re-enter Canada. You require either a valid TRV or eTA, depending on what passport you hold.

I can't answer the other question.
