Travelling during processing times

Hi,

Just a quick question. Are you able to visit Canada if you have a family sponsor appliction pending? My fiancee (canadian) and I (British) are planning to move to Canada in the next year or so but we also have some dates that we have planned to be over there before the move. If we start the process now but not recieve an outcome by thoses dates would I be able to go? I have tried to find an answer to this but have had no luck.

Yes absolutely, it's no problem at all.

You are visa-exempt so anytime you visit Canada while your outland app is processing simply show the immigration officer in Canada a copy of your PR receipt/sponsor approval, and a return airplane ticket. You should get a 6-month visitor status by default.
