So I'm guessing (more hoping!!) that we get our PR around May/June time based on when we got our AOR. However, we have a trip to NY planned in July so have a couple of questions :

Can you travel after COPR but before you flagpole/land?

Can you travel after flagpoling but before you receive your card?

Would it be better to do flagpole/landing when we return from NY?

Need to know what is best for us as the trip to NY is with my mum & niece who are coming out to visit us.

Yes.

Yes, but if you want to fly to Canada, you will likely need a PR card or travel document before mid-march, and certainly need a PR card or travel document after. If you drive or walk, a CoPR works just fine.

Not particularly. The sooner you start, the sooner your days start, and the sooner you can get Citizenship. Plus, when you return, you return as a Permanent Resident instead of visitors.

Thanks kateg!

I'll wait and see when we get the COPR and take it from there. Might be better waiting off doing landing until we arrive back from NY as we're flying. Just worried that if we flagpole before we go we won't get our card in time - seems like they're taking 3-4 mths to be sent out.
