Hi everyone,

My common law partner and I have applied for our PR together in the beginning of July and we heard that it takes between 4 to 6 months for it to be processed and that after it had been approved you have to wait for about 60 days to get your PR card.

We really want to go back to our home country to visit our parents during Christmas and New Year's. This would be right around the time that we heard whether or not we're approved. We'll be on a BOWP / bridging visa by that time.

Can we leave the country (overseas flight) during the time we're either waiting for the approval or, most likely, within the time that we're waiting on getting the PR card. We'll (obviously) still have our passports by then, and the BOWP would be valid for a year starting November / December most likely.

Thanks!
