So i had acceptance from University of Alberta starting September 1 and University of Waterloo starting January 1. Both are MEng d Mechanical. got visa approved on 18th august and landed in canada 29th August.
Gave the CBSA officer both letters, CIC docs and GIC papers.
Officer told if u want to go to waterloo u are too early and that she cant issue a permit. Then she told to leave my docs with her and wait. After a while she came and said that she issued 1 year study permit. for now.
I think this was because she got satisfied that i had some funds in form of GIC account to support myself.
Will extension of permit create any issues once i join Waterloo?
