Traveling to Canada with a non machine readable passport

Hi there,

My wife wants to visit me in Canada. She has a Lebanese non machine readable passport. I know it's accepted by Canda since their website only states that passports from Czech are not accepted. Se would be coming here through Lufthansa, so through Germany. Germany only accepts machine readable passports, does it matter if she is going to Canada? Will they allow her to travel?
