Traveling - Portal 1 hold?

Can we reply to IRCC in Portal 1 email saying that "Traveling out of Canada on Dec 1 and returning on Jan 6?
If we want to hold the eCoPR?

If you are yet to receive the portal 1 email, or should you receive it at the end of October or in November, then yes tell them to hold it.

If you have the portal 1 request right now, I would suggest you respond to it and keep the process moving. We are in September and you are suggesting they hold the process until January 2024. That is unreasonable.
