Traveling outside Canada while waiting for my first PR card

Hello Everyone,

I have a relative that is coming soon to Canada via express entry. Once he arrives and applies for his PR, he will be looking to leave Canada to finish some paperwork in his home country, while he waits for his first PR.

he is looking to have his PR mailed to him by me once it’s issued so he can come back using it.

is he taking a risk in doing that? Is it ok?

I found different answers online and not sure.

Not an issue. There are no risks besides the obvious one of the courier losing the package, but that's not very likely as long as you use a good one .
