I just applied for express entry under Canadian experience and i currently work in Canada in open work permit. I’m planning on traveling to Usa for a visit to family. Do I have to inform IRCC about my travel or can I just go and come back? Will this impact my application?

If you just submitted the application, it's not required. As long as you are on a valid work permit/visa you should be able to able to return to Canada with a 14 days self-isolation condition.
After you applied there is nothing you need to do in terms of informing IRCC since it is only temporary for vacation.
You would need to inform IRCC if you were changing your place of residence which is not the case.
Make sure the current travel restrictions will not affect you, though, that is completely unrelated.
