Hi everyone,

I'm planning to visit my friends staying in Canada in summer, I'm a Citizen of Czech republic (EU).

Few days ago I did my application for eTA and it has been approved. Now I'm starting to worry about the letter of invitation, because I'm not sure if I need it. The Canadian government website sais "You may also need: letter of invitation", but I'm not sure if I really have to have it. Plus I'm leaving in the end of June and don't know where should I send it.

Any help please?

why do you think that coming from a visa exempt country you need a letter of invitation to visit as a tourist. As long as you can show if asked a return ticket is booked and if asked state purpose of visit, visting friends should be fine. Might be asked about itinerary as well just answer questions honestly. Also in fact eTA not mandatory until end September.
