I might be traveling 1 week AFTER launching my application for a week or so.. are there any restrictions or concerns i should be aware of as far as my application is concerned? will i miss out on anything? please advice.. thanks
No, one should only inform CIC about travel plans if he/she intend to stay abroad for a period longer than 2 months.
You could have someone check your mails for you during the period you are away, just to be safe, however since your application will be relatively new when you leave, I doubt CIC will be in touch with you so soon.
I am planning a short trip (10 days or less) after mailing out my application. Is it safe to do so after I send my application or do I need to worry since they dont start processing applications atleast two months later... My concern is if they start the process two months later, would they recalculate my application date to the day they start processing my application, or would they still honour my real application date when i print and sign my application? If its the former, I would lose more days in my residence due to this short trip after sending the package.... or should I just go after receiving confirmation from the courier that the package was received by CIC.. when would this reflect on ECAS anyways? thanks
