Hi all,

Does anyone have info on central/south american countries that allow travel without a visa if you possess a valid PR card?

My current home passport requires me to apply for a visa pretty much all over the world, which usually takes a month or two in processing, and i would like to book a last minute vacation somewhere close by.

Any help would be useful, thanks in advance.

Someone on the forum had a list a while back but probable your best bet is to go to the website of the consulate for each country you intend to visit and check on requirements so you have the most up to date information.

I know for a fact that Mexico allows PRs even if they are form visa countries to Mexico. The Bahamas does too. I don't know about others.

Depends.
US consular officer looks at visa applicants ties to where they are citizens/residents. Those ties include but not limited to family ties, work/wealth/income, house/residence. They look at overall picture. Basically, US immigration looks at all visa applicants as intending immigrants to US and the applicant has to prove that he/she is not an intending immigrant.
