Hi folks,
I am concerned about what we report in resident calculator. For example, I left Canada to my home country on January 10, 2014 and came back to Canada on February 20, 2014. However before I arrived to my country I stopped in one of the middle east countries for a week (January 11, 2014 to January 17, 2014). Now when I filled my resident calculator, I put my absence from January 10 to February 20, 2014 and the reason is to visit my home country. Is that ok? or I had to mention the I visited one of the middle east countries in addition to my home country? I thought that the main purpose is to mention the period of absence which I reported correctly. Please advise me if that is ok.

I would suggest that you write in a separate paper that while you were away visiting your home country, you also visited the middle east country and list the dates as well. The reason I say this is that the CiC agent is going to see stamps for the other country not mentioned. And will begin to ask you about it.

Thank you for the response guys! Unfortunately, I already sent my application a year ago. I just thought of it now as I see people now saying that they mentioned the multiple countries in the reasons column. unfortunately, in the past, forums say that the most concern part is the time you exit and enter Canada.
At any case, I requested entry report from CBSA and their report matched the same exact entry dates that I reported in the Residency Calculator. I also have the stamps that showed my arrival dates to the destination country and the exit dates from the destination country. I am not sure if I can do anything at this point or how you advise me to prepare for the interview?
Thanks a lot guys!
