Travel to Canada from the US

Hi All I’m a US citizen, just applied for family sponsorship, partner and son are both Canadian citizens. Son will be attending school in Can for the Fall, living with his Dad. While I’m waiting for approval how do I travel back and forth from the US? Do I have to go back and forth every 6 months? I cant find any real information about this for US citizens. Does anyone know what the rules are? Thanks in advance.

You can keep extending your stay within Canada by applying for a visitor record and of course getting approved to extend.
