Hi there,
I have been fairy frustrated with my mother's TRV process to come to Canada lately.
First of all, my mother has lost her PR status due to inadequate time spent in Canada. On top of that her PR card is expired a few months ago.
She has no interest in maintaining her PR status but she just want to come to my graduation for two weeks towards the end of this month.
So I suggested her applying for a usual TRV like a non-PR person.
However, the visa office in Bangkok told her to apply for a PR determination before being able to apply for a normal TRV. And as my mother mentioned this PR determination process will take 60 more days to be completed. This time frame is beyond what we can afford at the moment.
My question is if there is anything we can do at this point to bring her here in time.
I'm totally trilled by the fact that it takes this much time to process the PR determination since my mother agrees to relinguish her PR status regardless.
Also I'm wondering if anyone has ever faced the same situation and what other people's experience are in regard to applying a TRV for a person with a lost PR status.
