Hi,

I have sent everything to CIC now. My medical passed yesterday (Mar 30) and background check became in progress. My work permit will expire on Aug 4, and I don't want to get another work permit. If I go to another country for travelling and wait for PPR there, does it work? Anybody knows how long does it take to request a visa office change? Which way would it be faster? Get a visa office change or mail the passport to my friend here in Canada and let her mail to Ottawa?

If anybody knows about it, please reply...

Thanks

You can definitely travel to a different country and inform IRCC about your change in address and country. Accordingly, you can raise a request to change Visa office.
I feel this should not cause a significant delay of months but only a few weeks.

You can definitely wait for someone else to reply on this.

What did you end up doing? How much delay did/are you facing?

If you are actually employed can't you continue working while your PR request is in progress? You will lose health care from August 4th ... but if your PR application is in progress you are allowed to continue in your current job I believe?

If you are not currently employed though...
