Dear All,

I have received RQ recently and would like to ask you if you can provide me some help. In RQ it mentions i need to submit Travel Record from all countries for which I have passport or travel document. I have only an expired Laisses-Passer from Egypt. I do not think they have Travel Record information for their own citizens let alone for non-citizens? What do i do in this case ???

In that case what proof you have for travel? how did you travel? CIC needs official travel record of your each trip which includes Passport or Other form of Travel Document (if the person is stateless), Arrival stamps in destination, Entry stamps in Canada with support of CBSA entry record. If you does not have any of thse documents, then how you will satisfy officer on your trips? In that case only option to collect movement record from each country you visited with support of CBSA record. You home country Egypt did not stamp in your Travel Pass when you entered or exited from that country?

I only traveled to USA (car day trips mostly) being a graduate student in USA. I was in my final years preparing
dissertations while living in Canada. To satisfy this I check to give permission to obtain my records from CBSA automatically.

For other couple of trips outside North America, I have stamps and visas in my expired travel document.

I do not have passport only Lassiez-Passer (travel Docuemnt) wich has stamps and visa outside of North America.
Do I need still provide a record of movements?

You looks fine. As long as you have CBSA report handy + stamps in your travel document you have a strong proof that you were physically in Canada for 1095 days.

I think since you don't have regular passport with stamps, while you authorize CIC, you also should get a CBSA report for yourself in case you need to present during interview related your trips to the USA.

Another reason you need a CBSA report is in case you may have missed /forgotten a travel you made. The report will refresh your memory before you declare your absences. Also it's good to have a copy of a doc they may order on your behalf, you'll have an idea of what information they have about you.

I totally agree with you Goldline. Now it is online request. It cost $5 to request the CBSA report and takes about 30 calendar day. Thanks for all your suggestions
