do i need to let cic know of any upcoming travel plans although i have already submitted my application and its been 90 days seen APR? Also is it still true that i have 30 days to submit passport if my application gets approved?need urgent response. Thanks

No you don't need to inform CIC of the upcoming travel plans and yes need to submit within the stipulated time mentioned in mail.

Yes 30 days but you can request for an extension if in middle of some travel.
