TRAVEL OUTSIDE CANADA AFTER VISA STAMPING

Hi! Has anyone travelled/fly out of canada after getting their passport back from buffalo and did the landing at vancouver airport? I want to attend my sister's wedding and come back after 3 weeks or is it really necessary to wait for the actual PR card?
