Travel: Inland canada class spousal sponsorship

Hi all, seeking clarification/insight as to after submitting Canada class inland spousal sponsorship application, can we travel to US to visit our children( by road and short trip). The application must be in process...i have not got any acknowledgement yet. I do have multi entry 10 year visa to Canada as well US. Thanks a lot

You can leave but are not guaranteed re-entry. If you are refused entry back to Canada, your inland app will be considered abandoned.
