I’m sure a lot of people have similar queries, but when it comes to the 10 years travel history it’s very tricky to specify exact dates for ins and outs of countries. do CIC have access to your travel history which they will check to make sure that your dates are exact and in turn reject applications if you’ve made mistakes or is there any understanding from them on the difficulty of accurately remembering dates from 5+ years ago?

They will need the stamped pages for your passport. So yes, they will have access to your immigration departure and arrival history. You can check the dates from the departure and arrival stamps on your passport.

Not having 5 Yeats of history is not going to be a reason. You're going to either have to explain in an LoE or, you're going to have to make efforts to remember your travel dates.

Your PCC from different countries is also dependent on how much time you've spent where. So if you've cumulatively spent 6 months and over in any country along with your country of origin, you'll need the PCC. So the dates are important and you'll have to remember them.
