Hi guys,

I have a question regarding the travel history in the online residence calculator. Let's say I traveled from Canada to Germany for 3 weeks but in my way to Germany I stopped 3 days in France so should I mention that in the reason for travel section? Because you can only put one destination for your travel & I guess it should be the final destination?

Obviously the intend of travel history is to quantify the time spent outside Canada, not to check the travel itinerary.
So, the final destination and total duration will suffice.

Hi...I was able to reconstruct my travel history through air travel itinerary, Expedia.comhotel bookings and US border stamps on passports. Does anyone have success with CIC accepting email travel itinerary as proof of travel? Or, Has anyone tried requesting for travel history from the airlines?

The issue that I am facing is that I have lost some boarding passes and the ones that I still keep are unclear due to passage of time. I have also cancelled the credit card/ bank account that was used to pay for the air travel since relocating to Canada so I am unable to obtain a bank statement showing payment for the tickets. Another issue is that my origin home country does not stamp on our passports at all for entry/exits.

Appreciate some adv..thx

EXCEPT:

The Residency Calculator instruction for entering absences, as one fills out the online calculator, states:

"Note: If you visited more than one country during the same absence, list the first country in 'Destination' and list the other countries in the 'Reason' field."

When in doubt, follow the instructions. Otherwise, yep, follow the instructions.
